Relax in Seattle’s Waterfall Garden Park
Seattle is a bustling city. And for the first-time visitor, it can end up being a little tiring and stressful after a day or more of touring the famous landmarks Seattle has to offer. I came across the Waterfall Garden Park in the Pioneer District one day while showing a friend around the city and I couldn’t get over how nice it was compared to the few blocks around it. The splashes of water drowned out honking horns and loud-mouthing just around the corner. Seriously it is the perfect place if you want a quiet lunch, planning where to go next, a relaxing reading time or quick time to chat with a friend. Check out the Waterfall Garden Park the next time you’re in Pioneer Square in Seattle!
The Waterfall Garden Park was created as a monument to U.S. Postal Workers. The small park features an artificial 22-foot waterfall, rock seating and some tables. Order a coffee nearby at Zeitgeist Coffee or a sandwich from Grand Central Bakery for the perfect lunch time relaxation. The Waterfall Garden Park is about three blocks northeast of International District bus station.
