Luxurious Getaway at The Woodmark Hotel

I didn’t want a simple birthday party this year. I wanted to relax, eat gourmet food, and taste a sample of the luxe life. I’ve done a few hotel celebrations before, typically a road trip to Vancouver for a day or two. But I wanted to go above those experiences without having to pay as much.

Luckily, I found a hotel deal online on Groupon to the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland, WA. It is one of the luxurious, well-located, and locally loved hotels in the greater Seattle area. The Woodmark Hotel is the only hotel located on Lake Washington and does a great job at incorporating opportunities for guests to enjoy the lake. Take advantage of recreational seasonal activities like kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, jet skiing, and a tour of Lake Washington from their yacht, the Woodmark II. When not on the water, walk along the beach walkways or along the dock among beautiful boats.

The Woodmark knows how to make their guests feel special. Ever had complimentary and unlimited champagne at a hotel? It’s wonderful and I definitely took full advantage of it! They also treat guests with Raid the Pantry, a late-night special allowing you to stuff your arms with junk food and drinks to take to your room for a fun night in. Go when they open the pantry doors or you’ll wait in a long line or risk picking from a limited selection.

Inside the room, you’ll feel like royalty once tucked in bed. I loved the plush mattress and the option to choose custom pillows for a better sleep. And I could spend a lifetime in the shower with multiple showerheads and a roomy tub for a luxurious bath time.

Eat

Dine at the high-end Bin on the Lake restaurant, right next to the Woodmark Hotel. Every dish is gourmet and every glass of wine is perfect. Feed on plates of Seared Scallops, Braised Lamb Shanks, and Kobe Top Sirloin. Add a few glasses of Stuhlmuller Vineyards Estate Chardonnay and Chateau Ste. Michelle Eroica Riesling to top off the night. Expect to spend $30 to $75 per person.

For lunch or breakfast, make your way downstairs to the Beach Café for some filling yet light meals. Balance omelets and pancakes with mimosas and bellinis for a fun morning. I loved their ample selection of gluten-free options and ability to adapt dishes for allergy prevention.

Rooms at the Woodmark Hotel ranges from $200 to $300 per person. Take advantage of their special offer deals to make the most of your stay!
